This letter is for you, and only you. You are the spark that lights up my world and the embodiment of all that is passionate and beautiful. I can never quite understand why you felt discontent with yourself, for no beauty in this world compares to yours. I miss you more deeply than words can express, and so often, I catch myself thinking, “I need to share this with her!” only to be reminded that I can’t.
It’s strange how I even find myself wanting to tell you about forgetting that I can’t share things with you. I can almost see you laughing at my forgetfulness. Is it odd that I still have conversations with you in my mind? After being so close for so long, your presence has become a part of me. I can no longer read anyone like I read you, and no one understands me quite like you did. Loving you was as natural as breathing, yet now I feel a suffocating void.
Even now, as I imagine you finding this letter, I can picture your reaction. You’d recognize it’s really me, and your heart would momentarily flutter. Then it would ache a little, realizing the struggles we had and how I struggled to be the partner you deserved. You would never tell anyone you found this letter because, my love, keeping me a secret is your special gift.
I find myself longing for your words and wishing to hear your voice once more. My love for you remains as strong as ever.
