The Maryland State Police Forestville Barrack received a call about a multiple-vehicle collision around 11:30 p.m. last night. The incident occurred on northbound Branch Avenue (MD Route 5) at Earnshaw Drive.
Maryland State Police are currently looking into a tragic accident that took place on January 10, 2024, in Prince George's County. The incident resulted in the loss of a life, as Nickita Sammy, a 34-year-old resident of Accokeek, Maryland, was the passenger in a Hyundai involved in the crash.
The driver of the Hyundai was taken to the R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore via ambulance to receive treatment for their injuries. On the other hand, the driver of the BMW, Timothy Brickhouse, a 26-year-old from District Heights, Maryland, emerged from the crash unharmed. He was the sole occupant of the vehicle.

According to initial investigations, the Hyundai was traveling southbound on Branch Avenue, attempting to make a left turn, when it was struck by the BMW.
The Maryland State Police Crash Team has taken charge of the investigation. Once their investigation is complete, they will present their findings to the Prince George's County State's Attorney's Office. It will be up to the State's Attorney's Office to determine if any charges should be filed in relation to this case.
