Raz Fresco & Figub Brazlevic music collab - "Stereo": 10 track hip-hop album-"777", Available Now

"777" is an enthralling partnership between rapper Raz Fresco and producer Figub Brazlevic that leads audiences through an extraordinary musical experience. Highly praised upon its release, the album flawlessly combines Raz Fresco's insightful storytelling with Figub Brazlevic's exceptional talent for crafting beats, yielding a creation that pushes the limits of modern hip-hop.

Artist name Raz Fresco. righteous name within the Five-Percent Nation is "I Power Allah", and government name-Rasquiz Alfred Johnson. The Jamaican Canadian rapper and record producer from Brampton, Ontario, is a member to the hip hop collective Bakers Club (Note* Raz Fresco is the CEO to the independent Canadian label BKRSCLB).

In an interview with Vice, he shares how he came up with Bakers Club collective ....

Around 2009, I made my first mixtape Welcome To The Bakers Club. The name of that mixtape came into play before Bakers Club was really a collective, in a sense. I had this line from some earlier track that I recorded, that didn’t even make that mixtape. I think it went like, “I’m all about the dough / Welcome to the Bakers Club.” Or some shit like that. I used it as a title for the mixtape, and then from there I was like, ‘Yo, I gotta connect with different dope artists and all that.’ I got my video “Layin Low” on World Star, and then from there people would reach out to me. Some of those people were the first members of the Bakers Club, like Lo Thraxx, he hit me up for production. I was like, ‘Yo, you’re dope.’ And he’s from Little Rock, Arkansas. I was like, ‘Yo, who are you building with right now?’ And he’s like, ‘Nobody.’ He joined, same thing with ChillxWill, he reached out with some production. And then same thing with 6th Letter, that’s how he joined. And then my homie BriskInTheHouse joined as well. All these things happened around that time.

His numerous accomplishments include producing tracks for popular artists like Tyga, Big Sean, B.O.B, Wale, French Montana, Mac Miller (RIP) and Bishop Nehru. His style is reminiscent of the classic 90s New York rap similar to hip-hop's most renowned group the Wu-Tang Clan. He began way back in March, 28 2010 releasing his first 20 track album- Welcome To The Bakers Club, born 1995, he released his first album at 16.

The name "Five-Percent Nation" comes from the notion that 85 percent of the people on planet Earth have been made dumb, deaf and blind. 10 percent of the planet are the rich blood-suckers of the poor who know the true reality of God but teach the 85% that there is a “mystery god” in the sky to pacify and control them. Only 5 percent are the righteous teachers who teach that God is true and living and not a mystery but shown and proven through man.

Other albums followed-MCMXCV released 2011, Raz solely produced the mixtape, which featured popular singles such as Fillmore Slim, OG Raptor 7s, and Donald Trump, among others. Additionally, this re-release of the mixtape brings four bonus tracks that were created during the same period but were never previously included.

Tis is my first real body of music. I don't even have a favorite on here, love the whole thing. Big shout outs to the Commission and Bakers Club though, building something real heavy right now. Also, shout out to the loyal supporters too. I literally searched inside myself while making this project and a lot of self reflection helped me put it together. Kanye’s attention to detail when making his albums was also something real inspiring to me when I started making this. Lyrically, I utilized a lot of different flows to keep the whole thing real fresh. In a nutshell, I put my heart and soul into this project, so ENJOY!!

“It’s definitely a compilation of my best work to date,” says Fresco. “I feel like in all directions I’ve just progressed as an artist, as far as on the production side, definitely lyrically, and as far as introducing a lot of new topics and concepts."...... "And I did all the production, except for the intro. It’s like two joints in one. My homie from Harlem, Randy—he goes by Drago—he did the first half. We collaborated on that beat. Aside from that, I handled all the production."

Soon after, he released another 17 track album-"Pablo-Frescobar" with hits like-"Influenza", a collaboration with Raekwon, "Equinox" ft Bishop Nehru, and "Swervin in Bape" ft Tre Mission. The debut album, produced by Raz himself, also includes appearances from Joey Bada$$, Chuck Inglish, Lo Thraxx, The 6th Letter and others.

I feel that my music and how I go about marketing myself and branding myself, that will determine where I end up. Because I’m not trying to be underground. I’m trying to be as big as possible and take it to the next level every time. Every project I’m trying to get more and more fans. I don’t look at it as underground or mainstream. It’s just about the people in general, reaching the people. I’m just trying to get the biggest following possible, and if that means some people will label me a mainstream artist, then so be it. I’m cool with that. I’m still me as an artist. You can put a label on it but it’s still my music at the end of the day.

Taking inspiration from comic book themes, each album in his collection is referred to as an "issue," providing candid storytelling.

If you ever had questions about Raz Fresco's identity, his experiences growing up in Toronto/Brampton, and his values, this album provides all the answers. However, it should be noted that the entire "Magneto Was Right" project, including the collection of albums, serves as a strategic marketing move to generate awareness and ultimately draw attention to the concluding "Marvelous Right Wrist" album. The artistic graffiti concepts were influenced by renowned artists such as STOUNSON, B A O N E, J. Park, and others.

I listened to it ( MARVELOUS RIGHT WRIST ), while reflecting on these questions, and almost shed a tear on the intro, just cuz it’s so real and if you’re a human you will automatically relate to the shit I’m saying cuz it’s so real. I wrote most of the album in jail. I immediately realized I’m not big enough for it to be received the way it needs to be received, so I had to drop other stuff first to raise awareness before I deliver it, because the music is so personal, I didn’t feel right just dropping it like that.

The album's synopsis revolves around a world where mutants possess extraordinary abilities, yet they are feared and oppressed by humans. Professor X represents the advocacy for peaceful integration, while Magneto seeks separation to protect mutants from the perpetual fear and controlling nature of humans. The X-Men show serves as a direct parallel to the civil rights movement, with Magneto drawing inspiration from Malcolm X, while Professor X embodies Martin Luther King Jr.

Various issues within the album showcase guest appearances from artists like Asun Eastwood and RLX. Raz Fresco takes the reins as the primary producer for a significant portion of the 18-track album, while a few tracks are created by Al Smith and The Architect.

His next collaborative project was -'Raz Fresco & Eric Right "Arm Leg Leg Arm Head" (LP) , released November 22, 2022, is an 11 track album. Singles include "The story continues",

"There are no ceilings" , "Many Secret Agents", "But fear no man", "Time waits for No One", "It can all end quickly", "Today is a new day (Ft. The grittiest)", "Better to Be Alive", "Before its Game Over" and "I'm Sorry Momma". Album produced and directed by Raz with photography taken by Eric Right.

Always working the following works include: "Solrap" a collaboration with ALS (released 17 March 2023), 9-track list instrumental album "Blueberry Cheesecake", 10-track list album "Piñata Cake" a collaboration with ALS (released 26 May 2023), 16-track list album "Pocket Operations II: Forty Seconds Only" (released June 2, 2023), and finally 10 track list album a collaboration of Raz Fresco & Figub Brazlevič for the album "777" (released September 1, 2023).

He seeks the perfect groove while adding his own unique style and flavor.

Figub has collaborated with numerous rappers, singer-songwriters, and producers from different countries, in addition to his extensive solo instrumental output. One of his most recognizable features is his precise drums and percussion, which not only emphasize his beats but also capture the essence of the 90s Golden Era that has greatly influenced his musical career. Although rooted in the 90s, Figub's sound possesses a timeless quality that remains open to any form of musical influence and inspiration. Figub holds the hip-hop culture in high regard and strives to make meaningful contributions whenever possible.
