Sara Skinner, an American producer, composer, and vocalist, goes by the stage name Killboy. Although, she has appeared on several dance and electronic tracks, when performing alone, she prefers to go by the stage name Killboy. After breaking free from a religiously orthodox upbringing in Texarkana, Texas, KILLBOY relocated to Los Angeles to further her music career, and quickly decided she wanted complete control over the recording, production, and engineering of her music, so she learned how to do it all on her own using YouTube tutorials. In December of 2019, she rose to prominence with the release of "WHEREDAFUCC," a song written and recorded in her bedroom. Since then, she has released several singles.
"LOSER" is one of her most powerful songs because of the fierce energy she emits and the instrumentation that supports her. Her songs all have fantastic dynamics that add urgency and vibrancy. KILLBOY occasionally allows her vocals to become a little rough while still allowing her smoother vocal abilities to shine. The majority of her singles are written and produced by her.
The multi-talented singer with purple hair released a number of hits in 2020, "HIGH ON MY OWN SUPPLY," "THATS OK I'LL JUST FUCK MYSELF," and "HOW U GON." With the bisexual breakup anthem "U + ME," KILLBOY began the year of 2021. It is also her most streamed song to date. soon after, she released hits like "FUCK YO FRIENDS," the wonderfully sinister "CORY WIT THA GF," and the consistently catchy "TRAVIS."
KILLBOY appeals to a wide audience and enthusiastically embraces the idea of making any kind of music she wants with tracks that cross genres and touch on complicated and honest emotions. "DADDY ISSUES," a straightforward single that displays her humor and caustic attitude, addresses the all-too-real idea of bringing unresolved problems from the past into the present. KILLBOY discusses how her father's death affects her relationships throughout the song, as she frequently relies on others to help her find closure with him. The song features unapologetic choruses with melancholy guitar and an alt-rock production.
[Intro]
I got daddy issues
Daddy, come back, I miss you
It's all I want
And when I'm so fucked up I can barely talk
You know that it ain't my fault
[Verse 1]
I got daddy issues
I could be an angel and a bitch too
Which one do you want?
You're a psychopath, I'm a socio-thot
Come on over to my spot
[Pre-Chorus]
I got holes in the walls, holes in the doors
Holes in my heart, gotta get it for sure
I put some holes in his car and a pedal to the floor
Come on, Daddy, give me some more
[Chorus]
I got daddy issues
Daddy, what you wanna get into?
It's all I want
And when I'm so fucked up I can barely talk
You know that it ain't my fault
I got daddy issues
Daddy, come back, I miss you (I miss you)
It's all I want
And when I'm so fucked up I can barely walk
You know you the one I want
I got daddy issues
[Verse 2]
Comе on over, Daddy, I got something to show ya
And I ain't afraid of killers, pеople already told ya
[Pre-Chorus]
I got holes in the walls, holes in the doors
Holes in my heart, gotta get it for sure
I put some holes in his car and a pedal to the floor
Come on, Daddy, give me some more
[Chorus]
I got daddy issues
You know that I wanna be with you
It's all I want
And when I'm so fucked up I can barely talk
You know that it ain't my fault
I got daddy issues
Daddy, come back, I miss you (I miss you)
It's all I want
And when I'm so fucked up I can barely walk
You know you the one I want
[Bridge]
I got daddy issues
Daddy, come back, I miss you
It's all I want
And when I'm so fucked up I can barely talk
You know that it ain't my fault
[Chorus]
I got daddy issues (Yeah)
You know that I wanna be with you (That I wanna be with you)
It's all I want
And when I'm so fucked up I can barely talk (Barely talk)
You know that it ain't my fault
I got daddy issues (Issues)
Daddy, come back, I miss you (I miss you)
It's all I want
And when I'm so fucked up I can barely walk
You know you the one I want
I got daddy issues
