DENVER WALLS was presented by the RiNo Art District, which fosters a creative, inclusive environment for artists, residents, and businesses. Executive Director Alye Sharp highlighted the festival’s role in strengthening the local economy by attracting visitors to support neighborhood businesses, from galleries to restaurants.
The second annual DENVER WALLS festival recently brought thousands of art lovers and visitors to Denver’s vibrant RiNo Art District, celebrating the power of street art to transform communities. Organized by Ally Grimm (A.L. Grime), a first-generation, female artist, the festival has quickly become a highlight of the city’s growing art scene.
With support from partners like VISIT DENVER, the four-day event showcased 13 new murals painted by 16 local, national, and international artists. These murals added to the district’s evolving collection of public art, drawing attention to the intersection of creativity, culture, and community.
“This event has grown from an idea to a beloved community tradition, and it’s such an honor to see the overwhelming support from artists, attendees, and sponsors,” said Grimm. “DENVER WALLS is a celebration of our city’s street art scene and its ability to bring people together.”

In addition to live mural painting, the festival featured a range of activities, including a sold-out Secret Walls Academy workshop, a 3-on-3 paint battle, and an exclusive gallery show at RedLine Contemporary Art Center, which attracted over 1,000 attendees. The exhibit, titled WET PAINT, showcased the history of graffiti and sold over a third of its featured works.
One of the festival’s most talked-about highlights was the Closing Party, which featured a lively mix of local art, music, and culture. Attendees enjoyed interactive experiences like augmented reality art installations, custom inflatables by Birdcap, and a projection mapping show on five murals, with work by three teams of artists.
Local businesses such as Blue Moon Brewery embraced the event, with the brewery commissioning a mural from Latina artist Ledania. The event also included family-friendly activities, a skate competition, and performances, making it an all-ages celebration of creativity and community.
Festival’s growing recognition, DENVER WALLS has become a key cultural event in the city. As it continues to celebrate street art and the artists behind it, the festival also serves as a platform for Ally Grimm to champion diversity and innovation in Denver’s public art spaces.
